The idea for Portland Bee Balm was born from Brad’s passion for bees, woodworking, and his wife Anika's search for a natural and effective lip balm. With a commitment to their family's do-it-yourself ethos, they utilized beeswax from their own hives to create a high-quality product that embodies their social and environmental values. Today, our small team in southeast Portland is proud to share these values and bee balms with the world.

As active members of our community, we strive to develop meaningful, natural products that enhance people’s lives and raise awareness of our impact on the environment. From our ingredients and packaging to our interactions with customers, we aim to operate as a business that supports the health and well-being of the environment, our community, and the bees and their keepers.
